Reaction calorimetry provides information quickly which can be applied to quantify the risks and criticality associated with a chemical process. Reaction calorimetry helps identify key process parameters, including:
- Reaction Enthalphy
- Thermal Conversion Rates
- Maximum Temperature of the Synthesis Reaction (MTSR)
Identifying critical process parameters is imperative so that variables, such as the dosing rate, can then be modified.
During a new 20 minute on-demand webinar – Safety by Design: Calorimetry in Chemical Development, I discuss the value of reaction calorimetry when designing a safe and cost-effective process including:
- Designing a Robust, Safe Process
- Scaling a Reaction
- Reaction Information Gained Via Calorimetry
