Toronto and Montreal are not only the two largest cities of Canada but also vibrant technology hubs. The reputation their universities, research institutions and high tech companies have acquired now largely expand beyond Canada’s borders. This makes both Toronto and Montreal attractive venues to organize a scientific gathering on chemical synthesis, process development, safety, scale-up, crystallization and formulation.
As specialists of cutting-edge laboratory research, development and manufacturing technologies, Dave Johnson, Rob Joachim, Will Kowalchyk, Eric Dycus and I want to invite chemists and chemical engineers from the Provinces of Eastern Canada to two symposia: One will be held at the Marriott Chateau Champlain downtown Montreal on February 8, the other will take place at the Residence Inn Toronto Downtown/Entertainment District, on February 10. During these one-day events, you will learn about best practices, innovative ideas and applications. The morning sessions will focus on chemical synthesis, process development and scale-up, and the afternoon sessions will focus on formulation and in-process particle characterization.
I hope you can take advantage of the free events to learn from key experts in industry and academia while networking with your peers during served lunch and breaks. I look forward to seeing you on February 8 in Montreal and on February 10 in Toronto.
